Whistler Families
Whistler is introducing a new Family Certified program that will offer a mix of facilities and features for children,
all marked with an icon that will be displayed where kid-friendly areas, products and services are offered. Signage for family-appropriate terrain, such as Bear Cub run on Whistler Mountain and the Enchanted Forest run on Blackcomb Mountain, will be more prominent, while the Whistler Kids Training Centre on Whistler Mountain will boast improvements to its skills and racing zones and is expanding to include beginner terrain park features. Two on-mountain playgrounds, the Magic Castle on Blackcomb and the Tree Fort on Whistler, also underwent makeovers. Whistler Blackcomb’s official opening day for this ski season is November 22.
Kids Free at Mohonk
From November 7-11, December 14-16, December 21-23, 2012 and February 18-24 and March 29-31, 2013, children eat and stay free at Mohonk Mountain House.

Get a fourth night free at your hotel and a fourth day free in the parks when visiting Universal Studios Orlando this fall.

Space Center Access
Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Kennedy Space Center invites your family to see an area of the center that’s been off-limits for more than 30 years! 
The Kennedy Space Center Up-Close tour ($25 for adults; $19 for children ages 3-11) will take you through the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB), a limited-access building since 1978, where vehicles such as space shuttles, orbiters and rockets were assembled from 1968-2011. In addition to touring the VAB, you also visits the NASA Causeway, the Apollo Saturn V Center and the A/B Camera Stop. General admission tickets to Kennedy Space Center ($45 for adults, $35 for children ages 3-11) include perks such as meeting an astronaut, the Exploration Space: Explorers Wanted live theater and interactive experience, the Shuttle Launch Experience simulation ride, IMAX films, the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour and the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.
SeaWorld Inspiration
he Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina in San Diego has debuted it’s new SeaWorld Suites. Each of the four suites features two adjoining rooms with a connecting door. 
One room is a whimsical, underwater-themed room for children, and the other is a sea-inspired retreat for adults with a private balcony. The children’s room features a bunk bed with a full-sized mattress on the bottom and ocean-themed sheets, Shamu whale plush toys for your children to keep, shark-covered bean bags, and wall coverings with friendly sea creatures. Adults’ rooms feature aquatic-themed artwork and marine-inspired shower curtains and wall décor. Nightly room rates start at $359. The hotel is now offering a San Diego Adventure package with full breakfast for a family of four and 20% off gate admissions to the San Diego Zoo, SeaWorld, San Diego Wild Animal Park and Legoland. The resort showcases 3 lagoon style pools and waterslides, spa and gym as well as a SeaWorld water taxi that runs seasonally and is complimentary for registered children 10 and under.

Disney’s New Family Suites
Large families and those looking for a little extra space can rejoice with the opening of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. Spacious family suites comfortably accommodate up to six guests and include two bathrooms, master bedroom, three separate sleeping areas within the living space including a generously sized dining or work table that easily transforms into a murphy bed. The resort recently opened its doors with the Finding Nemo Family Suites. All rooms and suites in the resort’s four sections will be available by mid-September. Located adjacent to Disney’s Pop Century Resort, the new budget resort includes 1,120 family suites in The Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo wings, and 864 themed rooms in The Little Mermaid wings — for a total of almost 2,000 new rooms. The property will also feature three pools, self service laundry, video arcade, food court, playgrounds and interactive water play areas. Also new at Disney World is the expansion of Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom (set to double in size), new Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom role-playing game, newly renovated prince and princess themed rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans and a Phineas & Ferb themed scavenger hunt at EPCOT.
