Star Clipper’s Family Special
Ahoy matie! If you’re planning a multigenerational family getaway, consider a voyage on one of Star Clipper’s tall ships. Currently, children between ages 3 and 17 can sail free with one or two adults in the same cabin on select five- to nine-night 2022 and 2023 sailings in the Caribbean, Costa Rica/Panama, the Mediterranean, and Southeast Asia. If two children are traveling with two adults (in specific room categories), the line accommodates the family in two individual cabins. What’s more, grandparents can join in the fun and receive a 10% discount on cruise fares. Onboard, your family can climb the mast to the crow’s nest 100 ft. in the air for spectacular panoramic views, relax in the bowsprit suspended over the ocean at the front of the ship, learn knot tying and navigation, help pull up the sails, and more for a very authentic sailing experience.

Cruise Hawaii
Despite a ban on cruise ships in Hawaii through the end of the year, UnCruise Adventures began operations in the islands last month aboard its 36-guest Safari Explorer. The nature-based cruise line received permission to operate in ports and parks in Hawaii and is the sole small ship company currently operating overnight and inter-island cruising. Your Hawaiian Seascapes itinerary includes a wide variety of outdoor adventures to explore and learn about these amazing islands with snorkeling, whale watching, kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking. Visit diverse regions such as the Halawa Valley on Molokai, the Hualalai Volcano on The Big Island, and the Humpback National Marine Sanctuary in between the islands.

You can experience the nearby rainforest, visit indigenous tribes, explore remote islands, and more. The maiden voyage of the Norwegian Jewel is scheduled for March 20, 2022, and it will depart Fuerte Amador (the Pacific entrance to the Panama Canal) to transit the canal and head to Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Oranjestad, Aruba; Willemstad, Curacao; Kralendijk, Bonaire, and Cartagena, Colombia before ending in Colon, Panama. Twelve voyages of this kind are planned in 2022 and 2023. Currently, NCL’s cruises sailing to the Panama Canal are only visited on “partial transits” or full-transit cruises departing from Florida.
