Adrenaline junkies can get their fix at Grand Velas Riviera Maya with the resort’s two new extreme watersports, grandvelaskiteboardingflyboarding and kitesurfing.  The new flyboarding experience enables you to strap your feet onto a personal watercraft and zoom up to heights of 55 feet. You can also obtain your own personal International Kiteboarding Association certificate. The certificate is available in three different levels: basic, intermediate and advanced; each level takes between two-and-a-half and three hours to complete.  The flyboard experience is for guests 13 years and older and costs $189 per half hour. The kitesurf training costs $250 per level.
