Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is adding their ninth property to the Cancun region.  They have acquired the former Hilton Cancun and will reopen on December 1 after a major renovation as the Iberostar Cancun.  The resort,  located in the Hotel Zone just 15 minutes from the Cancun airport, will feature 426 rooms and suites along with great pools, several dining options, tennis, gym, children’s program and 18 holes of golf on property.  Renovations include refurbishing the main lobbies and lobby bar, building new pool terraces and adding a buffet restaurant and four specialty restaurants.  Future plans call for the construction of a stage/amphitheater, a water park and a club for teens. Finally a club for teens at Iberostar!
