Upgrades at The Homestead
The Homestead in Hot Springs, Va. is embarking on a multifaceted $25 million transformation. With work already underway and set to be complete this summer, the resort will debut a new spa, waterpark, restaurants and minigolf course. The new spa will integrate geothermal spring waters and will also feature an outdoor spa garden. Walking paths kept warm through radiant heat will lead to a therapeutic geothermal mineral bath and neighboring river reflexology bed. Allegheny Springs, the two-acre family adventure and water park area, will be fueled by water drawn from the Allegheny Mountains. It will include Mountain Rush with three 100-foot water slides and a 400-foot lazy river. There will also be winding footpaths, a separate family pool and whirlpool, and interactive amusements for your children including a sandy beach. Two new dining options will be added to the resort as well and the new Mini Cascades golf course is modeled after the resort’s Cascades Course, for all skill levels to play.
