Kosher in Cancun

NIZUC Resort & Spa in Cancun is offering strictly kosher meals through Passover!  Enjoy freshly cooked kosher food through April 5, 2021, that will be certified and supervised by Cancun’s Rabbi Eliahu Bari from Neve Shalom Jewish Community. Your family can enjoy a variety of fresh fish, pasta, pizzas, salads, and special children’s meals for lunch or dinner at the A’kan Terrace & A’kan Arch restaurants. For breakfast at Café de la Playa, the selection includes omelets with vegetables and kosher cheese, waffles, hotcakes, and Challah French toast.  A special Shabbat dinner can also be arranged upon request.  All kosher protocols will be followed.  NIZUC, a luxury resort with a family and adult-only section, showcases 274 rooms, suites, and villas of all sizes. The modern accommodations sit in a tranquil and natural setting among mangroves, and beach.  There are also watersports, spa, gym, pools, children’s program, and more.  Several other kosher restaurants are located nearby in Cancun.

Marriott’s AI Expansion

Marriott recently announced a significant expansion of its all-inclusive portfolio through a long-term agreement with Blue Diamond Resorts which has a large portfolio of resort properties in Mexico, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Costa Rica, St. Lucia, and Antigua. Marriott will add 19 resorts with a total of nearly 7,000 rooms. Both family and adult-only resorts include Royalton, Royalton Chic, Royalton Hideaway, Grand Lido, and Planet Hollywood.  The majority of these properties are expected to be converted into Marriott’s Autograph Collection by mid-2021, but Marriott has plans to add all-inclusive resorts in several of their other brand categories including their luxury ones.  Also, Marriott Bonvoy members will be able to earn and redeem points on the all-inclusive vacation experiences.

Auberge Expands in Mexico

Auberge Resorts is expanding its collection in Mexico with two new luxury resorts: 

Susurros Del Corazon, Punta de Mita, Mexico: Located roughly 30 miles from Puerto Vallarta overlooking Banderas Bay, this resort is set to open in the fall of 2021. Each of the 30 residences and 59 rooms feature private outdoor living space and ocean views. Facilities include three pools, a spa, and a kids club.

Etereo, Riviera Maya, Mexico: This is Auberge’s first outpost on Mexico’s eastern coast and plans to open in November 2021.  It will feature 85 contemporary guesthouses all with plunge pools and ocean views, a spa, two restaurants, and pools all laid out among a collection of painted coral stone structures that seemingly float above mangroves and designed with modern Mayan style.

Marriott in Belize

Marriott is coming to Belize! The Alaia Resort, Autograph Collection will open this March on Ambergris Caye.  This first Marriott branded property in Belize will offer a 35-room boutique hotel along with spacious 2-bedroom condos and 3-bedroom oceanfront villas with up to 2,600 sq. ft.  The beachfront property is conveniently located close to downtown San Pedro and the airport. Free transfers included.  You can reach Ambergris Caye by small plane or ferry from Belize City. The upscale resort will feature several restaurants and pools, a beach club, dive shop, watersports, a unique live art gallery, piano bar, spa, gym, watersports, and more.  Marriott will also open the nearby Belize Marriott Ambergris Caye Resort & Residences in December 2021 with 203 rooms and suites and 70 condo homes with up to 3 bedrooms; also just a stroll from the heart of San Pedro town.
